Eld’s Deer, also called the Brow-antlered Deer, is a medium to large deer with a reddish-brown coat and distinctive, flattened, palmate antlers in males. They inhabit grasslands, forest edges, and floodplains, and are grazers that feed on grasses and shoots. They are elegant and agile, and while endangered in the wild, some private reserves manage populations for controlled hunting.
