The Water Buffalo is a large, robust bovine with a broad head, curved horns, and dark gray to black coat. They are strong swimmers and graze on grasses and aquatic plants, often found near rivers, swamps, and wetlands. Both wild and feral populations exist, with hunting usually focused on feral or managed herds.
