The Scimitar-Horned Oryx is a large antelope with a striking white coat, reddish-brown chest and neck, and long, curved horns that resemble scimitars. Adapted to arid desert and semi-desert environments, they can survive long periods without water, feeding mainly on grasses and herbs. Once extinct in the wild, they have been reintroduced in parts of North Africa.
