The Gemsbok is a large, desert-adapted antelope with a striking grayish-tan coat, black-and-white facial markings, and long, straight horns found in both males and females. It is highly adapted to arid environments, able to survive long periods without water. Gemsbok are strong runners and can defend themselves against predators using their sharp horns.
